State Minister for Social Welfare and heroic freedom fighter Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru MP has said that BNP-Jamaat is trying to terrorize the country again. At different times they have burned many people. A few days ago, people tried to kill people by setting fire to some buses in Dhaka. They cannot be indulged in any way. If anyone wants to commit such terrorism, they have to be caught and handed over to the law enforcement agencies.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a groundbreaking ceremony for the 31- to 50-bed upgrade of the Barhatta Upazila Health Complex on Thursday (November 19).
Civil Surgeon Dr. Selim Miah presided over the function and District Awami League Labor Secretary Gazi Mozammel Hossain Tukur also spoke. Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Fakhruzzaman Jewel, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Golam Morshed, District Awami League Leader Advocate Deepak Dhar Gupta, Mazharul Islam, Nazrul Islam Mojibul Alam Hira, Gazi Mortuza Hossain Kamal, Former Freedom Fighter Commander, Upazila Awami League President Azizur Rahman, Former Freedom Fighter Commander Shah Mohammad Abdul Quader, Acting General Secretary Adhir Dutta, District Volunteer League Vice President SM Sarwar Alam Rukan, Azharul Islam Arun, Barhatta Sadar UP Chairman Kazi Sakhawat Hossain and others. Before the speech, the state minister unveiled the foundation stone.
State Minister for Social Welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru MP highlighted the various development activities of the present government and said, “We are not the rulers of the people, we are the servants.” Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also considers herself a servant. Due to his efficient leadership, Bangladesh is on the highway of development today.
When there were 70 million people in the country, there was extreme food shortage, there was lack of money. But despite the increase in population to 16 crore today, there is no food shortage, moreover, Bangladesh today is self-sufficient in food. Even in a catastrophe like the Corona situation, not a single person has gone without food. No one will go without food in the future.
Apart from party leaders and workers of seven unions of Barhatta upazila, local administration officials and employees were also present on the occasion. Later, the state minister attended a meeting of the Upazila Hospital Management Committee.
