A drug dealer named Shakib Hasan was not saved after jumping into the Teesta river in Lalmonirhat's Hatibandha. The police arrested him.

On Wednesday (August 10) afternoon, he was arrested in a raid in the Teesta barrage area of ​​the upazila. A motorcycle has been seized at this time. During the search, the police seized 100 bottles of Indian Phencidil.

The arrested drug dealer Sakib Hasan is the son of Matiur Rahman of Andarbari village of Sariakandi upazila of Bogra district. He was on his way to Bogra from Hatibandha with a sack of banned Indian Phencidil on a motorcycle.

According to the police, on Wednesday afternoon, a large consignment of drugs was passing over the Teesta barrage of Hatibandha upazila. Based on such confidential information, under the leadership of sub-inspector Siddique in charge of the Teesta barrage area, the police stopped and searched a motorcyclist in that area if the movement was suspicious.

Meanwhile, Shakib Hassan jumped into Teesta river to save himself. Later he was rescued from there and arrested. At that time, he was arrested with 100 bottles of banned Indian Phencidil tied to his motorcycle.

Officer-in-charge of Hatibandha police station Shaha Alam said that one person was arrested with drugs during a raid on Wednesday afternoon. A case has been filed against him under the Narcotics Control Act. He will be sent to jail tomorrow.
