The hanging body of the rickshaw driver was recovered from Purbadhala
The police recovered the hanging body of a rickshaw driver named Md Saikul Islam (45) in Purbadhala of Netrakona.
His body was recovered from Nayapara (Mathpara) village of Sadar Union of the upazila around 9:30 am on Saturday (August 13).
Saikul is the son of deceased Amjad Ali of Lathunia village of Sadar Union of Islam Upazila. He was a rickshaw driver by profession.
Purbadhala Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Muhammad Saiful Islam confirmed the matter on Saturday afternoon.
He also said that on Saturday morning, the locals saw Saikul hanging from a mahogany tree near Saikul's father-in-law's house. Later, the police went to the spot and recovered the body. Surathal report was prepared and sent to District Headquarters Hospital morgue for autopsy.
For the past 10 to 12 years, he was married to Taju Maral of Nayapara village in Purva Upazila. The police informed the locals that there was a family quarrel due to Saikul's wife staying at her father's house for quite some time.
