Drug empress' Lalita arrested in Barhatta
Lalitha, known as a drug empress, was arrested by the Barhatta police station in Barhatta, Netrakona. He was arrested on Thursday (August 4) after raiding his house in West Gopalpur village of Barhatta upazila. During the search, 46 pieces of Yaba were recovered. According to police and local sources, Lalita has been identified as a drug dealer for 11 years. The main gate of his home in Barhatta Gopalpur village is always closed. When the police launched an operation to arrest her, Lalita misbehaved with the police by threatening a woman abuse case. Local people are also afraid of him.
He and his family members were arrested and handed over to the court on Monday, August 16 last year. This drug dealer got out of jail quickly due to loopholes in the law. Going out, his business got busier.
Barhatta Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Lutful Haque said that Lalita is known as a drug empress in the area. He deals drugs in his house. He and his family have been doing this business for many years. Their job is to target the youth of the area and make them buyers. He has 10 other drug cases against him.
