Rohingya women arrested with fake documents after coming to vote
A Rohingya woman, Kohinur Akhtar (20), was arrested by the police after coming to vote in Cox's Bazar's Teknaf with fake documents.
The arrested woman is from the village of Laturi Khola in the upazila of Hoikang Union. Chiddik's daughter. She is a Rohingya woman.
On Sunday morning (August 7), he was arrested on suspicion of concealing information from the upazila election office.
Upazila election officer Md. Bedarul Islam confirmed the matter.
He also said that the woman came to the upazila election office on Sunday morning and handed several documents to an office worker and requested to be included in the voter list.
After verifying the documents with him, it can be seen that in February this year, he submitted the file along with the application to the upazila election office to be included in the voter list. On May 26, the Scrutiny Committee canceled it on the grounds of concealing information and providing false information. After confirming the matter of cheating, the incident was reported to Upazila Nirbahi Magistrate Erfanul Haque.
Upazila Nirbahi Magistrate Erfanul Haque said that the Rohingya woman came to be included in the voter list by creating fake documents. He was arrested by the police.
